Day Thirteen and Fourteen
Tuesday, September 9, 2008
Saturday morning, we took a 4 hours bus ride to reach the place at some part of the mountain. We had a very good lunch that consists of soup, vegetables, meat and fish. One of the best meal i ever had in China. Water drafting was fun but very tiring as we have to row our boat. Even till now, my back and arm are still aching. After the activity we had a hot shower where the place does not have doors! Then we went to see the waterfall. It was magnificent! We can hardly find one in Singapore, unless you are talking about man-made waterfall. It was very fun walking on the big stones while crossing the river, but we have to be extra careful that we do not slipped and fell. After our dinner i checked into the hotel room together with suelin. FINALLY A COMFORTABLE BED TO SLEEP ON! The bed in the hostel is so thin that i had backache sleeping on it during the first few sleep, but i am used to it now. I guess we are really very fortunate back in Singapore. As we are at the mountain side, there was a lot of insects around. Suelin and i found a big spider in our room! Thankyou Benji for helping us to remove it, and using that to make me scream. HAHA. We had some firework session too. It was a beautiful night. =) The next morning i had porridge and some simple side dishes to go along. We went hiking and i find the trip abit horrible. Maybe it was because i hate hiking as i had some bad experience in the past. While walking up the long stairs, some guys found a small slug on my leg! ARGH! But no worries, i am okay. It was so exhausting that i was too tired to take any photos. =/ The most exciting part is when we reached the top of the mountain. HEY! 850m above the sea level! Imagine how tall were we at! "I AM THE QUEEN OF THE WORLD!~" Haha. The air up at the top of the moutain is so fresh and it was very windy. Heard that the temperature was as low as 10+ degree. I even see cows up there, i wonder how they come up and are they not scared of the heights? Talk? 0 Talked! |
