Day Six

We had a tour to the city today along with a tour guide to the museum, street hawker and the yellow crane tower. It has been raining for the past few days and the weather was so cold! My clothes that I hang outside to dry can hardly dry. The museum was pretty interesting with so many historical artifacts which we can hardly find in Singapore’s museum. Although the trip was getting boring along the way as most of the artifacts seem almost similar in terms of their looks and uses. Nonetheless, I still make an effort to try my best to listen to the tour guide. Haha. The museum was indeed very big and spacious, it has three storey full of historical artifacts. I was told that we actually have to wear formally so as to enter the museum, but since we went in by the back gate, we were not being penalized on our inappropriate dressing. The guys are having fun teasing each other. Haha. These are the utensils used by the king. We had our lunch at the street hawker which sells many varieties of Hu Bei’s specialty. I tried the jian bao (fried bun), chou dou fu (smelly tofu), xiao long bao, rice wine dumpling, BBQ squid and mango ice. It was very delicious! But I was a little disappointed with the smelly tofu as it did not taste as good nor smelly as the one I had when I was in Taiwan. The xiao long bao was extremely good especially the soup! Singapore should try selling the mango ice I had, as it is actually mango sorbet crushed together with ice which is served with sweet and sour jelly. We went to the yellow crane tower after our lunch. On the way there, I saw a dog that looks like a lion that I rarely see one in Singapore. While roaming around the tower, we see many paintings and models of the olden and modern crane tower. There was a floor where souvenirs can be bought for our family and friends, the price are rather reasonable too. I went up to the top of tower with some of my friends, and it was really cold with the strong wind blowing. At that moment, I felt like I was in Genting. Talk? 0 Talked! |
