Day Four

Today I had the first IS lesson conducted by one of the lecturer from WUST, Xiao Ling, together with the ECE students. The four hours of lecture is mainly about the history, culture and geography of China. The lecture will be focusing more on Hu Bei in the future lesson. Although the lecture was conducted in English, but the lecturer speak very well in fluent English. We were also told of the various celebration in China such as Duan Wu Jie (Chinese Dumpling Festival), Zhong Qiu Jie (Mooncake Festival) and Qi Qiao Jie (Chinese Valentine Day). We also had a better understanding of our ancestors and their stories such as Liu Bei, Zhu Ge Liang, Dong Yong and The Seventh Fairy, and the Three Kingdom. The lecturer introduce some place of interest where we should visit in Hu Bei such as the three gorges dam which is one of the biggest project in China.

I had lunch together with Fiza and Amirah at the stall outside WUST which provides Hala food too. I had the fried noodles with egg which is actually freshly made la mian with sauce. The stall pulls handmade noodles upon customer’s order so that customer can enjoy a bowl of fresh noodle. The noodle is very stringy and delicious. The chili provided on the table is very crunchy and spicy, very compatible to mix it in with the noodle or rice. The good news is the stall is open 24 hours daily so we can even have supper!

The rest of the day is free and easy so I spend the time washing my clothes and taking a short nap.

At around 7.30pm, I went over to Andy’s room again to help out with the cooking while Fiza and Amirah went out to shopping. I helped to cut the vegetables and tomatoes to cook veggie soup. we (Andy, Benjamin, Willis and me) cooked vegetarian fish and poached eggs because Andy is a vegetarian. The soup that we cooked, I must admit it is really very delicious! Although I don’t cook when I am at home, but I have the talent of cooking! HAHA. Okay, I am praising myself!
That is all for today! Anyway, my internet connection is very stable now because the problem lies with the plug hole of my laptop so I have to place my laptop on somewhere stable so that the plug for the internet connection is not loose! HOORAY!
