Day 40 we went to the wholesale to shop and i got many many clothes at very cheap price. i am so happy! It was a very far journey from our hostel to the wholesale. We walked until our legs are very painful. Talk? 0 Talked! today will be the last day in wuhan. we bought lots of food back to our hostel to have our last supper together. after packing our luggage, andy benji chinxiang willis amirah fiza and me had a mini celebration together. the rest were invited but they did not come, not sure of the reason but i guess they are busy packing their bags. we had some beer which cost 2rmb per bottle which is so damn cheap compared to singapore's. dont worry, none of us get drunk. bye wu han, i will miss the food there. and i will definitely miss fiza's morning call and the free movie of fiza and amirah wrestling together. take care guys. Talk? 0 Talked! On thursday we went to li xuan's house for dinner. Her parents really cook a lot of good food for us. It was really yummy especially the homemade dumplings, veggies and soup. Her family members are very friendly and they prepared so much snacks for us to munch on before dinner commence. Her house is also very big, just like a big mansion. We also had some red wine that li xuan's parent gave us, it has a very sweet fruity taste. Yummy. Talk? 0 Talked! Today is the last of fiza and amirah's fasting month and tomorrow is selamat hari raya for them. Thank you for the feast that you guys prepared for us today. Yummy. Today fiza amirah yee ting willis benji and me went to the computer city, intending to buy a hard disk. But the shop they usually patronized was closed due to china's national day 7 days holiday. Hopefully i will be able to buy my hard disk before i go back to singapore. We walked around the computer city and some shopping malls. At the same time we also had some food which includes chicken drumstick, smelly tofu and some local delights. It was yummy. I think i will miss the food here when i go back to singapore. Actually i find that china people are quite wasteful because they give very big portion of food to customers. And if customers are unable to finish their food, they will just throw it away. Food is very sacre now and economy is turning down, so people should really try to save and conserve. Talk? 0 Talked! Monday, September 29, 2008
I had a pretty good birthday celebration last night after 12 midnight. Everyone surprised me with a birthday cake. But the most interesting part was the honeydew with orange juice, lemon juice and red pepper which everyone had to feed me a spoonful of it. It was really gross but luckily i was able to swallow whatever i was given into my stomach. Chinxiang and Andy even smashed cake on my face. Haha. It was very fun as it was the first time somebody smashed cake on my face. I guess it was a pretty good experience. Haha. Thank you everyone for the cake, presents and surprises that was given to me. And of course thank you to my bunkmates, andy and chinxiang for making my birthday a extraordinary one. Thank you for the 18 birthday bash too. It was really painful to be hit by the little hammer! The rest of the day were spent on doing video. Talk? 0 Talked! Talk? 0 Talked! Sunday, September 28, 2008

It was really getting colder as days pass by, i really need a warmer jacket to keep myself warm from the cold. Today we will be going to the east lake to visit the botanic garden and to have a nice picnic beside the lake. The botanic garden was very big with many plants that could be found in singapore. We had a tour in its greenhouse area and it seems like a little forest inside. The most interesting part is the kiwi fruit tree that we found. The kiwi fruits grow on fences, it was so tempting to reach out for one to eat. HAHA. After having much fun taking photoshoots around the garden, we went to the east lake. At the east lake there, we saw some "chu" dynasty historical buildings that are left. It was very magnificent. Some of our students had fun dressing up in different dynasty costumes that cost only 10rmb. Everyone seems to be pretty engrossed in their little role, they even did some role play there. Where can we find such cheap costume role play thing in singapore? After that, some of us went to climb the mountain while the rest had picnic. Overall it was an enjoyable outing although i was pretty tired. Talk? 0 Talked! Friday, September 26, 2008

Today is the last day of IS lesson with Xiao Ling Lao Shi. Throughout the past few weeks, we had learnt a lot from her about China's economy, business etiquette, culture, history and how to do business in China. She is a very nice and patient teacher who is willing to help us if we have any questions to ask her. Thank you Xiao Ling Lao Shi for teaching us things that we can hardly learn in Singapore, it was indeed a valuable lesson to learn. Hopefully someday we are able to transfer the knowledge that we had learnt to our friends too. =) Talk? 0 Talked! Wednesday, September 24, 2008
Guess who is this?! She scared the hell out of me when i came out from the toilet. She even had two accomplices to scare me too! One even took a video down. Luckily i do not have heartattack. Imagine being scared almost 5 times in a single day. T.T I am left with case study 1 and 2, and IS presentation on Taoism. Hopefully i will be able to finish it before i go back Singapore because i really have to spend some quality time with my family. Although i am having fun here but the workload is abit too much. I spent almost all my holidays here in for this OIP trip, i had sacrified the chance to catch up with friends, relatives and family members. I even lost the chance to see the birth of my nephew as my sister is pregnant with her first child. I hope that i can spend the remaining of the holiday till the fullest together with the people i love, to make up the lost time. =/ Talk? 0 Talked! Tuesday, September 23, 2008
See my two bunkmates were playing badminton inside the hostel room during midnight. T.T What a night time excerise isnt it? I was watching the hong kong series drama that i bought, on my laptop and bombing accident kept happening to me. Do you know what is bombing accident? It means, shuttlecock kept dropping hard on my head. I almost going to suspect that they were aiming the shuttlecock at my head. Haha. But it was really fun to play badminton in the room after i had a try too. =D Talk? 0 Talked! Monday, September 22, 2008
It's all about FOOD! Today i want to introduce some of the nice food i had discovered for the past few days. Get some tissue ready for your overflowing saliva! JUST JOKING! The famous fried pancake (jian bing) that can be found almost everywhere in Wuhan. I bought this at the back alley. It has the non spicy and the spicy version. I like the spice that is used to be drizzled on the dough before frying it. It makes a very good breakfast for me but i hope that it can be less oily though. Hopefully someday this will be sold in Singapore. Talk? 0 Talked! Sunday, September 21, 2008
This post is specially dedicated to hergrey, our little bunny who passed away today. Little hergrey was bought by Amirah from the night market. During the three days when everyone went for the three gorges cruise except me as i was sick, she was there to accompany me and bring laughter to me. When i am using my laptop, she would always position herself nicely in between my feet to sleep. She looks especially adorable especially she was asleep in our arms, between the blanket on our bed, on Fiza's laptop or even in Amirah's shoe. Her pink little nose would move every now and then as she sleep. Sometimes the mischievious us would pull her chin down to see her little teeth. HAHA. Thinking of this makes me want to laugh out loud too. Hmm. I think i pamper her too much till the extend that when i stroke her head she would fall asleep almost immediately. She grows as the days past, and soon she was able to jump out of the her house that we build with floor maps. There was a time when i am taking an afternoon nap, i woke up to find her sleeping soundly beside me. Imagine how high she jumped. Holding my right hand just above her head and wriggle my fingers would make her stand up to touch my fingers with her nose. She is a very intelligent bunny who can even open the cage to make an escape. HAHA. Holding the cabbage and watching her munching it becomes my daily routine. Although there were numerous times when she pee/shit on my bed, my shorts and my hand that makes me pretty mad, but i still love her. During ChinXiang's birthday celebration, i even brought her along to join in the fun. HAHA. Although it was a short 10 or 11 days together, she makes my OIP trip a more enjoyable one. It was heartbreaking to be the first one who realised hergrey has left us. I felt something amiss when i saw the way she slept in her cage. =( Hergrey, we miss you. Rest in peace. Talk? 0 Talked! First Day Wudang Mountain
Saturday, September 20, 2008
Today is the first day in Wudang Mountain. This place is a sacred place where Taoism begins. This is one of the famous mountain in China since Ming Dynasty. Emperor then had ordered thousands of soldiers and craftmens to the mountain to build historical buildings. It took them many years to finish this big project and some did not even manage to go back home after living on the mountain for years. Sounds awesome right? We left the school at around 8am and the whole journey to the mountain is 5 hours. butt aching journey. We had a pretty good lunch at one of the local restuarant, everyone was so hungry! But the tofu tasted really very weird, like its burnt. Overall the food is quite delicious especially the black fungus and stir fried cabbage. Initially i thought the mountain area would be quite deserted. To my surprise, there is actually a small city around the bottom of the mountain, just like the WuHan city. When we reached the customer service area of Wudang Mountain, each of us are given a entry ticket where we were lead to bus that will drive us up the mountain. The ride was very bumpy and uncomfortable especially when the bus made a sharp turn. Luckily everyone were able to bear with the discomfort. We were shown around the area by a local tour guide to see magnificent structures built as early as in Ming Dynasty. We even saw some Taoist priest and one of them actually gladly show us some taiji moves. And i got it video-ed down! Somewhere in the middle of the mountain, the weather was so freezingly cold. Everyone can actually see vapour coming out of our mouth. We went to another temple to take a look while some of us bought souvenirs for our love ones. Heard from some friends that the BBQ corn wasnt very nice and in fact it tasted very hard. We then took the last bus at 6.30 back to the bottom of the mountain. After dinner we were separated into our respective hotel that were given to us. As the booking of the hotel was done on the day itself we were at Wudang, we did not manage to get enough rooms for everyone (LMGT and ECE) to stay in the same hotel. The hotel was very comfortable and i finally had the chance to relax my aching body on the soft and springy bed. Mind you, the mattress back at our hostel is SO THIN! =( Talk? 0 Talked! |
